Compliance Officer

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to oversee and ensure the compliance of our global operations involving the transportation of Dangerous Goods (DG) Class 7 by air and road.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DG regulations, including IATA DGR (Class 7), ADR, and possible IAEA directives as well. This role is critical in maintaining the safety, security, and regulatory compliance of our operations, while also managing vendor compliance and supporting the team with regulatory guidance and quality-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

·       Ensure full compliance with all applicable Dangerous Goods regulations, including IATA DGR (Class 7) for air transport and ADR for road transport.

·       Develop, implement, and maintain an administrative system to secure and control compliance across all global operations involving DG Class 7 transportation.

·       Screen and onboard vendors related to Dangerous Goods transportation, ensuring they meet all regulatory and safety requirements.

·       Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures to resolve any non-compliance issues.

·       Develop and manage a vendor compliance database, documenting all relevant certifications, audits, and compliance checks.

·       Provide expert guidance and support to the team on regulatory and compliance-related questions.

·       Participate in customer meetings to address any regulatory or compliance concerns related to Dangerous Goods transportation.

·       Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other quality-related documents in alignment with ISO standards.

 

Qualifications:

·       Certification as a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA).

·       In-depth knowledge of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) including Class 7, and ADR regulations, or willingness to get certified.

·       Min. 5 years of proven experience in managing compliance and safety in an international logistics and supply chain environment.

·       Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with a focus on accuracy and detail.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, team members, and customers.

·       Experience in documenting procedures and working with ISO/quality management systems is an advantage.

Customer Care Specialist

Customer care is one of the most important aspects of our business.  This is a great new opportunity for an enthusiastic and eager individual who has a genuine interest in customer service and wants to be an integral part of the team.  

Your tasks

·       You are the first point of contact for the customer (mostly via email)

·       You follow established procedures and guidelines (SOPs available in own database)

·       You check, send and approve shipping documents

·       You accurately verify and register customs documents

·       You coordinate and organize pre-shipments + maintain close contact with transport companies to ensure efficient and timely delivery

·       In case of problems or deviations you are a real troubleshooter and look for the best possible solution in close cooperation with the customer.

·       You are stress resistant and can deal with deadlines and busy situations

·       You follow up orders from A to Z and lead the process in the right direction.

·       You ensure adequate reporting in case of completions or escalations

 

Your profile

·       Motivation and ability to learn is more important than years of experience or degrees.

·       You are a problem solver, with a passion for working with customers and an eye for detail.

·       You are fluent, both written and spoken, in Dutch and English.

·       You are able to work independently, setting you own priorities and work well under pressure.

·       You are always able to keep your focus and drive, even during short deadlines.

·       You communicate with customers and internal employees in a professional and constructive way.

·       You know your way around MS Office. Training-on-the job will be provided for our internal software.
